Server Groups are configured to make it easier to reference multiple services that might have the same properties. For example, if you have several dialup services (e.g. a flat-rate dialup service charged monthly, charged quarterly, and charged annually), then you may want to have them provisioned to the same server in the same manner. Grouping them makes it easier to reference them to a particular server.
In the picture below, we have configured a server group DIALUP. To this group we can add all of our dialup services (to be discussed later in the Service Type Configuration section).
